While majority of the top Premier League clubs have been active and have spent heavily in the ongoing transfer window, Tottenham Hotspur are yet to make a single signing.
With just over a week remaining until the window shuts down, Spurs fans are a worried lot; and if their attempt to decode an Instagram post by defender Serge Aurier is any indication, they really seem to be clutching at straws.
Although the words in Aurier’s post appear to be an innocent attempt to calm nervy fans, his use of certain emojis has left eagle-eyed supporters in no doubt that he is actually indicating the signing of Crystal Palace forward and long term target Wilfried Zaha.
The theories seem crazy but possible and what has further added fuel to fire is that Zaha himself liked the post.
Check out the post and the fan theories below:
A possible cryptic message here from Tottenham Hotspur right-back Serge Aurier with regards to Spurs’ long-term transfer target Wilfried Zaha.

Let’s go through this. ‘The target s not far’ could link to a possible signing. Then by using the eagle emoji could link to Crystal Palace as they are the eagles. Then Wilfred Zaha liked this post and followed Aurier. Could this be a message? #COYS #THFC #AgentAurier pic.twitter.com/cnhFBvc9bG

The eagle refers to Zaha being a palace player, the 3 lions represent him deciding not to play for England. Aurier is definitely referring to Zaha in this tweet without a doubt… Illuminati conformed 👌🏼
