(Video) Graeme Souness reckons Rangers can win the league as Celtic aren’t “particularly strong”

Graeme Souness, the former Rangers player and manager, believes the Gers have a real chance at winning the Scottish Premiership this season with Steven Gerrard managing the team and their rivals Celtic not looking “particularly strong”.

In an interview with beIN Sports, the former Scottish Captain had nothing but praise for Steven Gerrard and believes that a former player of his stature being around will have a profound effect on the team, which might be all they need to make the difference this season.

Souness spoke about how he doesn’t think the prevailing Scottish champions are strong enough to be winning the title year after year and said that Celtic’s real weaknesses are exposed in their Champions League matches.

With a revamped defence and some promising new signings for Rangers, could this finally be the season the Gers find themselves at the top of the table?
