West Ham fans would be hoping for a much improved performance in the Premier League this season, thanks to their club doing some impressive business in the transfer market along with the arrival of Manuel Pellegrini as manager.
Perhaps bringing most joy to the Hammers camp was the signing of Brazilian attacking midfielder Felipe Anderson, for whom the club broke its transfer record.
However, the 25-year-old’s squad number remained a mystery until yesterday, when the club finally announced that their new signing would be donning the no. 8 jersey.
One of the fans though was left anguished by the announcement and took to Twitter in a cry for help, as it turned out he’d bought the Brazilian’s kit but with the wrong number.
To his pleasant surprise, he got a reply from Anderson himself, who in a classy act promised to help him out.
