Liverpool continued their superb pre-season form, emerging 5-0 winners over Napoli in a friendly on Saturday. While there were plenty of noteworthy moments for the Reds during the game, some fans were speculating about something that happened after the final whistle was blown.
In what is his customary post-match routine, Liverpool boss Jurgen Klopp’s hug to opposition player Kalidou Koulibaly is being interpreted by some as a sign of the Senegalese defender being Anfield bound in the near future.
Compatriot Sadio Mane’s presence in the vicinity at the time of the hug is also being interpreted as an attempt to convince Koulibaly to join him at the club; just like Roberto Firmino’s role in convincing fellow Brazilian Alisson to join the Reds.
It is probably one of those bizarre fan theories that pop up every year during the transfer window but you never know.

Klopp hugged Koulibaly 👀.
I’m sure he’s a player the gaffer is drooling over – an amazing ball playing CB.

What a defender Koulibaly is – Didn’t let Salah pass through in any of the 1 on 1 he has against him. There is no way Klopp didn’t notice him.
Hopefully that raises some eyebrows and maybe we can send a cheeky bid.
