It was a hard-fought match at Parkhead as Celtic were held by AEK Athens to a 1-1 draw in the first leg of their Champions League qualifier. The Greek side rallied back after falling behind in the 17th minute and did well to equalize just before half-time.

That goal gave the visitors the belief they needed and even after being reduced to 10 men in the 57th minute, they held on, much to the frustration of home fans.

While AEK fans were the happier ones after the draw, with their team having secured an away goal; one of them reminded everyone that football is not just about winning or losing with a brilliant gesture towards a few disabled Celtic fans as he went over and gifted them a jersey.

Check out the fantastic gesture below:

  1. Fantastic gesture by the AEK Athens Fan. As a regular visitor to Greece, particularly the holiday isles, I know how the Greeks live their families and this gesture is a sign of that….
