The atmosphere at Ibrox for the first leg of Rangers’ Europa League qualifying match against Maribor was a sight to behold as fans brought the roof down, displaying the belief with which they are backing Steven Gerrard’s team on their quest to bring back the glory days.

And the way that Gers went about their business on the pitch only served to get them even more charged up as the home team won with a convincing 3-1 scoreline.

It was an evening worth remembering as the stadium reverberated with chants of Rangers iconic football anthem “Every Saturday we follow”.

Alfredo Morelos put the Rangers ahead as early as the 6th minute and received some extra love as fans went about singing his name.

Home support like that could propel the players to give that extra bit and new boss Steven Gerrard would be mighty pleased with what unfolded at Ibrox last night.
