Last season’s Premier League Golden Boot winner, Mohamed Salah continued his supreme form as he scored the first goal in Liverpool’s 4-0 thrashing of West Ham in their opening match of the new season.
Apart from the Egyptian’s sublime football skills, Anfield was also witness to his amiable personality when Salah went on to hug a young boy who had come running on to the pitch to meet his hero.
Upon Salah’s substitution in the 87th minute, the home crowd stood up as one to applaud their gem. And it appears even the opposition fans weren’t immune to the 26-year-old’s charm after a Hammers fan was spotted honoring the Reds’ talismanic striker.
The West Ham supporter clearly enjoyed Salah’s performance, even though it came against the club he supports, and felt compelled to give the Egyptian a bow as he left the pitch to a rousing applause.
