It’s been a brilliant start to the new campaign for Rangers and the passion with which fans are supporting their team has evidently made a fine impression on their summer recruit, Nikola Katic.

After snubbing Russian club Spartak Moscow’s big money offer in the summer for a chance to play under Steven Gerrard, the 21-year-old centre-half has impressed supporters with a display of maturity and poise that belies his age.

Katic proved his worth once again with a solid defensive display as his team held Maribor to a goalless draw which was enough to take the Gers one step closer to playing in the Europa League.

Fans of the Scottish club were delighted with the result and stayed back to cheer for the players as they were getting on the team bus; prompting Katic to upload a video of the same on his Instagram while describing them as “F**king best fans in the world”.
