Chelsea maintained their hundred percent start to the new season under manager Maurizio Sarri as they fought their way to a 2-1 victory over a largely defensive Newcastle side.

Even though Blues dominated possession throughout the match and their win was well deserved, it still took a debatable penalty and an own goal by Magpies defender DeAndre Yedlin to get them over the line.

The 25-year-old American had a mixed game. While he provided a superb assist to set up Newcastle’s equalizer, it was his own goal from a Marcos Alonso volley that eventually sealed his team’s fate.

With most of the game being played in the opposition half, Chelsea’s players were given plenty of opportunities to showcase their attacking flair and their Spanish forward Pedro took it upon himself to embarrass Yedlin once more with his sublime skills.

Pedro, who came close to scoring a few times, sent Yedlin for a hotdog with his pace and movement as he took on the defender during one of many Chelsea attacks. Check out the moment below:
