A solitary goal by midfielder Olivier Ntcham was enough to hand Celtic a well deserved victory over Rangers in the first Old Firm derby of the season.

The scoreline did not reflect Celtic’s dominance as the Bhoys rattled the crossbar thrice and were also kept at bay by goalkeeper Allan McGregor, who pulled off a string of outstanding saves to keep Gers in with a chance.

Rangers improved later in the game and striker Alfredo Morelos had their best opportunity to equalize but he ended up shooting straight at Craig Gordon.

In the end, the vast gulf of class between the two teams was clearly visible as the hosts kept putting immense pressure on their bitter rivals throughout the match.

The score might not be the best indicator of the nature of the game, but a photo that managed to capture some of the players’ reactions comes pretty close to summing up the night.

The brilliant snap has Morelos looking a little frightened as Celtic players Scott Brown and Mikael Lustig are spotted screaming wildly in the background. Check out the said photo below:

    1. Bawbag, do you work in any courts of law? Was it you that passed the law that deemed The Famous Glasgow Rangers dead ? No you did not. Rangers are still Rangers and are recognised through every court of law including FIFA. We know you unwashed cretins who all share the IQ of a Potato can’t understand basic law, never mind that you lot are not too bright because for a Scottish team shouldn’t you be flying some Scottish flags at your piggery instead off Irish flags?
It is going to be so sweet when we do win our World Record 55 title.
It would even be sweet to see Hearts beat you to the title and shut all your inbred mouths.

  1. The shortest Revolution in history
    Men playing boys
    Master v Scouse Ned
    Champagne v Buckfast
    Pure Football v Anti Football
    Still going v tribute act
Fully Paid Up v Tax Cheats
Played by Rules v no discipline
    1-0 going on 5, 6, 7
This is Paradise, this is Celtic HH

  2. All you smeltic fans all share 1 brain cell because you all keep spouting crap about how Rangers died in 2012. Well you potato eating muppets who are so confused that you fly tricolour flags around ceptic park, a Scottish team, not an Irish team, you could say you are a British team so why not fly the proper flags when your shite team play either a Scottish flag or even better a nice big Union Jack. Anyway back to Rangers dying, I will type this slowly for you smeltic fans as you will all be having trouble keeping up and reading this, Rangers never died, we are still the same old Rangers that is recognised by FIFA and our own SFA footballing authorities, THESE are the people who make the laws within football and recognise who Rangers are and if you keep stating that we are dead then it just goes to show how dumb you all are, it wouldn’t surprise me if all you smeltic supporters were all related, I can hear banjo duals playing. Anyway just keep enjoying while it lasts as the gulf between you and not only Rangers is closing and some day Rangers will win no 55 or even maybe Hearts might win it and if they do I’ll still be happy because it means you great unwashed smelly potato eaters will not have won. Oh and please remember that we are SIMPLY THE BEST.
