(Video) Celtic steward switches off the music blaring on Rangers team coach pre kick-off

The first Old Firm derby of the season saw Celtic dominate Steven Gerrard’s Rangers on their way to a 1-0 victory at Parkhead. The visitors were lucky to lose with a respectable score-line after somehow managing to survive a flurry of attacks by the Hoops, especially in the first half.

The result means Rangers haven’t won a league fixture against their heated rivals since March 2012. It was also the first time Gerrard’s men suffered a defeat this season and even though the ex-Liverpool man has managed to improve the side, it seems they are a long way off from becoming a finished product.

While it was a disappointing night for the 800 odd away fans, Hoops supporters were left overjoyed even before the match started; when a Celtic steward went up to the Gers team bus that was parked outside the stadium and promptly switched off a famous Ibrox anthem being played on it – “Simply the Best”.

  1. The, The Rangers have never beaten Celtic in a league match. Very poor journalism.

The game you refer to was in respect of LIQUIDATED rangers. The license from LIQUIDATED rangers transferred to The Rangers who began life in the lowest division ie there was 2 clubs, both with rangers in their name. The, The Rangers will be trying to finish second in the SPFL this year, for the first time in its 6 year history.
