With only 6 points to show for from their opening 4 matches it’s safe to say Arsenal haven’t quite hit the highs Gooners were hoping for when Unai Emery took over in the summer.

With the Spaniard still unsure about his best XI, the upcoming clash with Newcastle may turn out to be crucial in terms of the former PSG boss finally nailing the right combination in several departments and that too against a tactically astute coach in Rafa Benitez.

One of key issues that needs addressing is the imbalance in the center of the park that has haunted recent Arsenal sides with Granit Xhaka often unable to utilize his attacking flair without a more defensive-minded partner in midfield.

Arsenal’s new chief needn’t look too far to find such a player with new signing Lucas Torreira almost tailor-made for such an enforcer role having been adept at working as a defensive shield from midfield before.

This pairing can provide some much needed balance to this Arsenal side and finally unlock the shackles of the plethora of attacking talents at Emery’s disposal starting this weekend.
