Arsenal put in a solid performance at the Emirates last night to overcome Ukraine’s Vorskla Poltava 4-2 in the Europa League opener. There were a lot of positives from the game for the Gooners including steady debuts for summer signings Bernd Leno and Lucas Torreira.
The game also provided several exciting moments including some terrific runs by Alex Iwobi on the left-flank and two classy finishes by Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang. However, there was one other moment that occurred just before kick-off, that seems to have caught a lot of people’s eye.
While the teams were lining up in the tunnel, Vorskla captain Volodymyr Chesnakov was caught on camera doing something quite disgusting. The 30-year-old defender spat into his hands twice and washed his face with the saliva.
Watch the repulsive moment below:
Seeing this upsets me that we let them score twice… 🤣pic.twitter.com/sbpOWtt72r
