Liverpool striker Roberto Firmino suffered a nasty eye injury during the Reds’ 2-1 win over Tottenham at Wembley on Saturday. While the challenge from Vertonghen looked innocuous on first sight, a slow motion replay showed how the Belgian’s finger sank deep into the Brazilian’s left eye.

Thankfully, the striker didn’t suffer any long-term damage to his eye, although he was only fit enough to start on the bench for Liverpool’s Champions League opener against PSG.

Firmino came off the bench against PSG and proved the match-winner as his late strike clinched the game for Liverpool. The Brazilian then decided to celebrate his goal by covering his left-eye. Liverpool fans who already adored Firmino, were absolutely over the moon with his late strike.

So in dedication to the Brazilian, all Reds fans actually decided to give their interview to Sky Sports with their left eyes covered during  a segment. While the whole thing was quite funny, albeit slightly cringe-worthy, one Everton fan decided he’s not having it at all.

The fan in question felt the whole thing was mightily embarrassing and suggested that behavior like this is what makes Evertonians hate the Reds with a passion.

Check out the Everton fan’s reaction below:

While the fan’s reaction was pretty hilarious, Liverpool fans would probably give all their interviews this way from now on if they know it angers Evertonians.
