Newcastle United owner Mike Ashley was back in attendance for the first time in 16 months during the Magpies’ drab 0-0 draw against Crystal Palace at Selhurst Park.

The billionaire has become a much despised figure in the eyes of the fans due to his lack of ambition for the club over the years and his refusal to invest in this season’s summer transfer window has only intensified the calls for him to sell up.

With Newcastle yet to win a match and the lack of quality on the pitch quite evident, it was hardly a surprise that Ashley was subjected to derogatory chants and boos as soon as the away spectators got to know about his presence.

Toon supporters let their feelings be known when they sang in unison for the 54 year-old to get out of the club, accompanied with some colorful language. Listen to it yourself:
