Having joined Celtic in 2016, Erik Sviatchenko made 63 appearances for the Scottish champions and won two league titles during his time at Glasgow before slowly falling out of favor under Brendan Rodgers.

During his tenure with the Parkhead club, where he also won two League Cups and the Scottish Cup, the affable defender became a firm fan-favorite and he still continues to feel their love.

On the occasion of his 27th birthday, a Hoops fan decided to display his lingering affection for the Danish international with a heartwarming post on Twitter.

The tweet though prompted a reply by another Celtic supporter, who couldn’t resist trolling the birthday boy. But it did not have the desired effect as the big man kept his composure and gave a cheeky response of his own to completely dismiss the dig aimed at him.
