Rangers resume their Europa League campaign tonight as they take on Rapid Vienna at Ibrox. The Scottish side put up an impressive display away at Villarreal on matchday one as they held the Spanish side to a 2-2 draw.
Today’s game against the Austrian side represents a different type of test as Rangers arguably go into the game as favorites. This is also a historic night for the Glasgow club as this is their first home European group stage tie in more than six years.
While the Gers have been in good form in recent weeks after a tough start to the season, their preparation for this game wasn’t ideal as they fell to a 1-0 defeat away at Livingston during the weekend. However, they seem to have recovered from that set-back as the camp does appear to be in a great mood ahead of kick-off.
The Rangers players were all smiles during training ahead of the game. Check out the pictures of the Rangers squad in training below:
If Steven Gerrard’s men can overcome Rapid Vienna tonight, they will put themselves in a commanding position in the group and thus put wide smiles on the faces of their fans too.
