Rangers came storming back from a goal down to complete a phenomenal 3-1 victory against Rapid Vienna and go top of their Europa League group in the process.
In front of a raucous crowd that had thronged Ibrox to experience a European night after almost eight years, Steven Gerrard’s men showed commendable spirit to equalize within a minute of falling behind and then sealed the tie with two late goals.
It was a glorious result for the Gers, who’ve been playing with plenty of grit and determination ever since Gerrard took over at the start of the season. The 38-year-old gaffer has already become quite an admired figure amongst fans owing to the sense of positivity he’s managed to instill at the Glasgow based club.
While we’ve become used to his calm demeanor during games, Stevie G’s animated celebrations on the touchline last night showed how much the performance meant to him.
A brilliant picture of Gerrard passionately pumping his fist while leaping up in the air after Rangers achieved victory is becoming every fan’s favorite after it went viral on the internet.
