Chelsea’s Jorginho has proven to be one of the best summer signings in Europe so far this season and has fit seamlessly into the defensive midfielder role under Maurizio Sarri.
While N’Golo Kante has been moved to a more attacking position, Jorginho has taken up the mantle of the team’s conductor perfectly, justifying his manager’s decision to bring him along to Stamford Bridge.
The former Napoli player’s passing expertise has played a major role in the Blues’ unbeaten start to the campaign and unsurprisingly, he’s made the most passes in the league so far.
A ridiculous pass that the Italian pulled off during the 3-0 victory against Southampton last weekend is a perfect example of his immaculate one-touch style of football which has turned Sarri’s men into genuine title contenders.
Check out the 26-year-old’s brilliant ball driving Chelsea forward in attack:
People really try to call Jorginho a sideways pass merchant 😂. His one touch passing is the best in the world. pic.twitter.com/gXKinvl3mg
