Ross Barkley’s dramatic stoppage-time equalizer for Chelsea during yesterday’s 2-2 draw against Manchester United triggered a touchline bust-up after Blues’ assistant coach Marco Ianni went on to celebrate in front of the visiting bench, much to the annoyance of Jose Mourinho.
Upon spotting Ianni gesturing towards him, the peeved United boss attempted to chase after him looking for a confrontation but was stopped by the security before things could get out of hand, even as members of staff on both benches argued heatedly.
However, the internet has managed to pick up on a light-hearted and weird moment that occurred in the aftermath of the ugly incident when Maurizio Sarri went up to Mourinho to apologise for the behavior of his coach.
In the footage, the Chelsea manager can be seen digging his nose while conversing with the Portuguese – before going on to wipe his hand on the back of the Special One’s suit as he turned.
