It’s safe to say Alisson Becker has hit the ground running at Anfield.

The Brazilian international was one of the most coveted keepers in Europe during the summer and has provided some much need stability between the sticks for the Reds following his big money transfer from Roma.

While it was probably not the first time a Liverpool fan has tried to compare Alisson to Superman, with both their professions often requiring the ability to save the day by swerving through the air, Melissa Reddy has created quite a buzz on Twitter by pointing out a bizarrely similar picture of the stopper and the famous comic character.

The popular correspondent at FootballJoe recently tweeted a side-by-side comparison of a graphic released by DC of a bearded Superman in an all new black suit alongside a photo of Alisson sporting a black Brazil trainer himself and truth be told, the photos do look strikingly similar!

Other Reds clearly liked what she was suggesting, with the tweet gathering close to 9000 likes on the micro-blogging site and also prompting some pretty hilarious responses in the comments section as fans expressed their amazement at the similarities between the two.
