Mesut Ozil’s heroics inspired Arsenal to come back from a goal down to win 3-1 against Leicester City.
Having been given the responsibility of captaining the side by Unai Emery, the German was back to his sublime best as he pulled the strings for Gunners from his favored no.10 position.
The hosts had looked a little bereft of ideas until the 29-year-old playmaker turned up with a caressing finish to slot in the equalizer just before half-time.
That was just the start as the midfielder came back to run the show in the second half with some incisive passes to put more pressure on the Foxes.
While it was Ozil’s defence-splitting pass that glided perfectly onto Bellerin’s path and enabled the Spaniard to square it towards Aubameyang for the second, the third goal came after a brilliant team move in which Ozil was again heavily involved before providing an assist from the outside of his left foot.
