Tempers flared in the stands of the Olympic stadium during the Carabao Cup clash between London rivals Tottenham and West Ham, which was won by the former with a 3-1 margin.

The rivalry between the two sets of fans has grown quite fierce over the past few years and sparks were expected to fly last night too.

However, things got a little out of hand last night as officials struggled to control the rowdy crowd.

A few Spurs supporters had somehow managed to find their way inside the home end of the stadium and were being escorted by stewards when one of them had a drink thrown at his face by a Hammers fan, which resulted in a full blown fight as the two furiously started trading punches even as people struggled to subdue them.

Check out a clip of the nasty incident:

  1. Perfectly aware it was not correct thing to do by the hammers fan, but if you are going to a local derby any one for that matter
and you are in Opposing fans areas you are asking for trouble and would like it,or plain stupid to realise what the consequences may be
