Ruben Loftus-Cheek has firmly established himself as someone to look out for in the future, even with the limited opportunities he’s got to play for Chelsea under Maurizio Sarri.

After scoring a stunning hat-trick against BATE that propelled his team to a 3-1 victory in a Europa League tie, the 22-year-old sparkled yet again when Blues legend Frank Lampard returned to Stamford Bridge looking to cause an upset with his League One team Derby County.

On what was an emotional night for the home spectators, the youngster was a lively presence throughout and capped off his display with a pull back that eventually fell in the path of Cesc Fabregas for the decisive goal that helped the North London team avoid embarrassment.

Apart from showing his skills with the ball, Loftus-Cheek was also involved in a hilarious incident during the match when he went tumbling over the advertising hoardings after a tussle with the opposition player.

Not that we’re rejoicing over the fact that he fell, but a ball-girl’s reaction -or the lack of it – when one of the hottest properties in English football landed right in front of her – is what’s got us going.

The girl sat there with a deadpan expression that seemed to say ‘What’s all the fuss about?” even as Loftus Cheek went down. Check out a clip of the incident:
