David Ginola’s candid conversation about his time with Newcastle during Monday Night Football will manage to bring tears in the eyes of most Toon fans.
While he talked about a lot of things, the bit that’ll get fans emotional came when the former French International reminisced about the Magpies’ infamous title collapse during the 1995/96 season.
The 51-year-old reveals how badly the team wanted to bring the Premier League trophy home for the supporters and how frustrated they were for not managing to bring joy to the fans.
‘The Entertainers’ as the Newcastle team was known under manager Kevin Keegan, blew a 10 point lead they held at Christmas to finish 2nd in the Premier League, resulting in heartbreak for numerous fans.
