Liverpool goalkeeper Alisson put in another impressive display during the 1-0 win against neighbors Everton to justify his hefty price tag.
Even as his opposite number on Sunday, Jordan Pickford cracked under pressure to gift Divock Origi the winning goal in the dying seconds of the game, Alisson did a terrific job and kept his focus throughout the 90 minutes to thwart the Toffees’ attackers in his debut Merseyside derby.
But other than the 26-year-old’s crucial saves and his accurate distribution of the ball, another aspect of his game that Liverpool fans are loving is the awareness he showed during an incident that took place late in injury-time.
With players of both teams involved in a minor scuffle and with the clock ticking by, Alisson intervened and furiously shouted at his teammates to get moving.
In the end, time did play a part in deciding the match and the Brazilian does deserve a pat on his back for his attempt to speed things up.
Check out the brilliant moment below:
Alissson made 2 brilliant saves, but this might have been his key input, time had already ran out, our kids were busy beefing. No fucking around with this fella!! pic.twitter.com/uBOcBqujLe
