Newcastle goalkeeper Martin Dubravka pulled off some stunning saves for his side during last night’s 1-1 draw against Everton at Goodison Park.
The visitors had taken a surprise lead inside the first 20 minutes after Jacob Murphy unleashed a precise cross from the left, which was converted by Salomon Rondon’s sliding finish.
As the Toffees came surging forward in search of an equalizer, they were greeted with a tight defensive line and a goalkeeper who kept out almost everything that came his way.
Dubravka made some magnificent saves in the first-half and although he could not prevent Richarlison from restoring parity, his heroics ensured that Rafael Benitez’s men walked away with a well-deserved point.
One of the highlights of the 29-year-old’s solid evening was a point-blank block he somehow managed to pull off after an Everton player had made a fierce connection with the ball.
