While Jordan Pickford’s late save earned him a bit of redemption and helped Everton hold on for a 1-1 draw, it didn’t stop Newcastle fans from trolling the 24-year-old last night.

The Toffees’ goalkeeper shares a hostile relationship with the Magpies ever since his time playing for their bitter North East rivals Sunderland and the visiting contingent at Goodison Park took special pleasure in reminding him about his blunder during the recent Merseyside derby.

The Englishman’s failure to deal with Virgil van Dijk’s miscued volley had led to Divock Origi heading in late during injury time to gift Liverpool a win on Sunday, which made him the subject of some heavy trolling on social media.

And Toon fans also couldn’t resist joining in the fun as they sang “He’s only got little arms” in unison while targeting Pickford during the game yesterday.
