Leeds United came from behind to defeat QPR 2-1 and retain their second spot in the Championship table.
While Marcelo Bielsa’s men largely dominated proceedings at Elland Road, they were given quite a scare when Nahki Wells put the visitors ahead against the run of play with a wonderful left-footed shot from the centre of the box.
Thankfully, the hosts had a certain Kemar Roofe at hand. The 25-year-old striker first equalized from close range at the stroke of half-time and then completed the comeback by successfully slotting in a spot-kick a few minutes after the interval.
Apart from the victory, Leeds fans might be excited by a moment shared by the two goalscorers.
As the teams were about to restart after the penalty, Wells was spotted congratulating Roofe for his efforts.
Just good sportsmanship by the Bermudian striker or is it a sign that we might well see him turning up for the Whites in the future?
One thing’s for sure though, the Burnley loanee would certainly be a handy addition to Bielsa’s squad judging from his performance on Saturday.
