Spanish football journalist Guillem Balague has gone on to lavishly praise Tottenham after the fighting 1-1 draw against Barcelona in their last Champions League group stage encounter.

After Ousmane Dembele opened the scoring early at Nou Camp, things must have looked quite dreary for Spurs fans.

With Mauricio Pochettino’s men bungling numerous opportunities to equalize and with Inter Milan having leveled the score against PSV Eindhoven at the San Siro, it appeared likely the North London club was about to crash out of the competition until substitute Lucas Moura turned the game on its head with a goal in the dying minutes of the game.

In the end, Pochettino’s side finished on the same points as the Italians but went through because of their superior head-to-head record.

It was just reward for the resilience Spurs showed for hanging in there and not giving up despite the enormous task of achieving a positive result against the mighty Spanish giants.

And Tottenham’s feat is being applauded by world renowned football expert Balague, who’s taken to Twitter with a series of posts hailing the visitors’ performance, even calling it as one of the best.

Check out what the 50 year-old had to say:
