Total lack of respect from Bolton’s goalkeeping coach towards Marcelo Bielsa

Leeds United took another step towards securing the automatic promotion spot with a 2-1 win over Bolton on Saturday.

Leeds now find themselves in the third spot behind Sheffield United in the points table but have a game in hand over the teams currently placed ahead of them.

Patrick Bamford’s penalty took the home side into the lead 16 minutes into the game but Mark Beevers equalised for the visitors barely 6 minutes later.

Marcelo Bielsa’s men were in command for most of the second half and their superiority finally paid off when Remi Matthews misjudged Ezgjan Alioski’s cross in the 68th minute.

After Joe Williams tried to haul Alioski up off the floor when he went down injured after a dirty foul from Josh Magennis, things went south fast and it looked for a moment like a full out brawl was almost about to erupt.

Bolton manager Phil Parkinson squared up to Pontus Jansson during the commotion and was sent to the stands after making an obscure gesture towards the Swedish international.

While both teams will most probably face an enquiry from the FA for the incident, it’s pretty clear that the bad blood between the sides didn’t die down after the full time whistle.

Bolton goalkeeping coach Lee Butler also got himself involved in the situation after mocking Marcelo Bielsa as the veteran manager was returning to the tunnel after exchanging the customary handshake with his counterpart.

The Argentine is one of the most respected managers in the Championship and Butler has been met with major backlash from fans on social media platforms for the gesture.
