North London did some serious business with both Arsenal and Tottenham Hotspur splashing the cash on transfer deadline day.
While Spurs faithful would have hoped for a few signings after being inactive in the market for a long period of time, no Arsenal fan would have imagined that come the end of the transfer window they would be the biggest spenders in England, splashing out £155m!
In what was a massively successful window for the for the newly-formed backroom team led by Head of Football Raul Sanllehi, the Gunners bought £25m Celtic left-back Kieran Tierney and £8m Chelsea centre-back David Luiz on deadline day.
💬 "I’m here to give everything and to try to make this club arrive where it deserves to arrive – winning big games and big titles."@DavidLuiz_4 has a message for you all – and we reckon you're going to like what he's got to say! 💪— Arsenal (@Arsenal) August 9, 2019

Arsenal fans, who, at best, would have thought of a Top Four finish next season have had to suddenly rethink their thoughts after the transfer window and a shot at the title with this XI surely wouldn’t look too far from reach.
