Dani Ceballos moved to the Emirates Stadium on a season-long loan deal from Real Madrid having been on the fringes of their first team last year.
The Spaniard looks set to become an integral part of Unai Emery’s set-up at Arsenal this term and the 23-year-old is eager to make the most of his chance.
The midfielder started his tenure at north London in fine form as he put in a man of the match performance on his full Arsenal debut as the Gunners beat Burnley.
But life in the Premier League soon caught up to him when Champions League winners Liverpool dismantled Arsenal at Anfield back in August.
Ceballos has now spoken about his experience in Arsenal’s 3-1 defeat against Liverpool in an interview with Daily Mail.
The new signing gave the lowdown on what an overwhelming experience it was for him that day.
“I had never seen anything like it,’ he says pausing to find the words to best do justice to the football hurricane that blew over Arsenal that day,” said the Arsenal loanee.
‘I’ve not seen up until now a team that plays better, that presses better. That game had quite an impact on me.
‘They suck the air out of you. You spend so much time defending and when you want to catch your breath and get on the ball for a bit, they’ve taken it from you again.”
