Roberto Firmino has commended compatriot Fabinho for settling in quickly after the defensive midfielder left Monaco to join Jurgen Klopp’s Liverpool last year.

City visit Merseyside on Sunday in the biggest match of the season to date, with high stakes all round.

A home victory would see the table-topping Reds stretch the gap between the sides to nine points, while success for Pep Guardiola’s men would halve the current deficit to three.

Reds forward Roberto Firmino took time out of his busy schedule to do an interview with Bein Sports before the big clash on Sunday.

With an abundance of Brazilian players in both the sides, the former Hoffenheim striker was asked to discuss his relationships with fellow countrymen from Liverpool & Manchester City.

Firmino spoke highly of all the Brazil players in City and Liverpool’s squad but saved special appreciation for Fabinho as the forward revealed surprise at how quickly the defensive midfielder adapted to life under Jurgen Klopp.
