Matteo Guendouzi posts first social media update since Brighton incident

Mateo Guendouzi did not feature in Arsenal’s matchday squad for last 11 games of the season after his controversial antics in a defeat at Brighton.

The hot-headed Frenchman grabbed the Seagulls star Neal Maupay by the throat and allegedly taunted him by saying that Brighton players ‘were s**t and that he and his teammates earn so much more than they ever will’.

Although the 21-year-old was lucky to escape a ban from the FA, Arsenal boss Mikel Arteta wasn’t so kind enough to the midfielder as he was shown the door from the Gunners’ first-team training sessions and forced to train alone.

As things stand, Guendouzi has no future in London and his representatives will soon meet the club to discuss a possible move.

The Frenchman was not present as one of the ten non-playing attendees for Arsenal in the FA Cup match against Chelsea.

Guendouzi has maintained a low profile ever since the Brighton incident and didn’t even come out to congratulate the team on their cup win.

His first bit of social media activity after the controversy has left the Arsenal faithful even more enraged as Guendouzi uploaded a holiday snap as story on his Instagram account few minutes ago –

The France International has all but confirmed his exit from Arsenal following his recent behaviour as the supporters feel betrayed by Guendouzi’s disrespectful attitude and egoistic nature.
