First photo of Diego Maradona after undergoing a successful brain surgery

Good news for football fans all round the world as Diego Maradona is finally getting discharged after a surgery on his head.

The football legend has been in the hospital for 10 days now after having an operation for a subdural hematoma. A condition where blood accumulates between a membrane and the brain.

Diego Maradona was all smiles as Leopoldo Luque, Maradona’s personal doctor and the person in charge of the procedure, took to his Instagram account to spread the good news earlier today.

This is the first image of the current Gimnasia y Esgrima La Plata manager after he was admitted to the hospital shortly after his 60th birthday.

Maradona will now have to continue with home treatment.

Considered as one of the greatest players of all time, Maradona won the World Cup with Argentina in 1986 and also helped Napoli to two Serie A titles during his time at the Italian club.
