Lewis Cook scores first goal for Bournemouth in 4 years

It took him 4 years but Lewis Cook has finally opened his tally for Bournemouth with an absolute belter against Reading.

An incredible second-half comeback saw Bournemouth go top of the Championship table at Dean Court.

The Cherries won the game 4-2 after being 2-0 down at half time.

Bournemouth were made to suffer early in the game when Reading were awarded a penalty after a foul from Asmir Begovic.

Lucas Joao converted from the spot in the 4th minute and Sone Aluko doubled the lead 3 minutes from half time.

It looked like smooth sailing for the Royals but Jason Tindall’s side had other plans.

Reading gave the home side far too much time on the ball at the start of the second half and were duly punished as Bournemouth leveled the scoreline with 2 goals in 3 minutes from Dominic Solanke & Arnaut Danjuma.

Lewis Cook then got on the act by scoring his first goal since joining the club back in 2016 and Solanke completed his brace to make it 4-2 for the Cherries.
