Jurgen Klopp mockingly claps the linesman after Brighton score late penalty to snatch draw v Liverpool

Injuries and VAR are taking their toll on Liverpool and especially their manager Jurgen Klopp.

The Reds contingent were left with bitter taste in their mouths after Brighton scored late from a penalty to snatch a draw at the Amex Stadium

Diogo Jota scored his 9th goal of the season as Liverpool took the lead in the second half, following a missed penalty by Neil Maupay in the first half for Brighton.

James Milner became the latest injury blow for Liverpool but Klopp’s side looked set for a win before Brighton were awarded a penalty after Robertson kicked Welbeck in the foot in injury time.


Pascal Gross scored from the spot and Jurgen Klopp was left fuming with VAR’s decision to give the late penalty.
