No one playing football should suffer what Conor Gallagher suffered at the hands of Eberechi Eze today.
The Chelsea midfielder on loan at West Brom put forth an immense display himself but was made to look very very silly during a moment in the game.
Roy Hodgson’s men were relentless at the Hawthorns as they scored 5 goals past Slaven Bilic’s side who were reduced to 10-men in the first half.
Matheus Pereira was given his marching orders in the 34th minute after he was found to have kicked at Patrick van Aanholt.
The game was tied 1-1 at that point and Palace took full advantage of having more bodies on the ground with 2 quick goals from Wilfried Zaha and Christian Benteke at the start of the second half.
Zaha and Benteke added 2 more goals later in the game to make it a certified rout.
Eberechi couldn’t get on the scoresheet himself but provided an assist and perhaps the most popular moment in the game when he sent Conor Gallagher for a hotdog.
The Anglo-Nigerian has had a terrific start to his career at Palace after making the switch from Queens Park Rangers in the summer.
Premier League defenders have found it difficult to deal with the the tricky 22-year-old with Gallagher becoming his latest victim.
The movement and quick turns from Eze were too hot to handle for the Chelsea loanee, check out the incident below –
