Jurgen Klopp’s refreshingly honest response to being called ‘the best coach in the world’

Jurgen Klopp became the first manager to win consecutive FIFA The Best Men’s Coach of the Year award during an online event in Nyon, Switzerland.

The Liverpool boss was among the final three nominees for the ‘coach of the year’ award including Bayern Munich’s Hansi Flick and Leeds United’s Marcelo Bielsa.

After winning the award last year for achieving Champions League success with Liverpool , the former Borussia Dortmund manager became the only manager to retain the award as he helped the Reds to win their first league title in 30 years.

Not the one to be too fussed about individual awards, Klopp was at his refreshing best when Reshmin Chowdhury congratulated the German for officially being recognised as the best coach in the world, again.

Klopp responded by saying – “I am not (best coach) but I won the award, so it’s good enough”.

All we can say is – never change Kloppo, check out the bit from the event in the video below, the moment occurs during the 5-minute mark –
