It would be an understatement to say that things got out of control towards the end of the game as a violent battle broke out between Athletico Paranaense and Fluminense players in the final of the Brasileirao U-17 yesterday.
Now, handbags during a game of football is nothing new but what Athletico’s João Gabriel did was downright criminal.
Gabriel should be banned for an eternity after he brutally kicked Fluminense’s Joao Neto in the face as the clock ran down at the Arena da Baixada in Curitiba.
Gabriel’s teammate Vinicius Amaral continued the thuggery as he kicked Neto while he was lying in the ground from the kick on his face.

A total of 9 players were shown the red card as Fluminense won the championship.
