Lampard wins Sunday, sacked on Monday, Tuchel in Tuesday. Chelsea are ruthless.
Just another example of how quickly things can change in the world of football.
Chelsea confirmed Thomas Tuchel as the club’s new head coach on an 18-month deal today. The German will be in the dugout tomorrow for the Wolves game.
Tuchel has already started to get down and dirty in his new job as it is being reported that the new Chelsea boss was involved in a lengthy meeting with the full squad after arriving at Cobham.

Tuchel pays tribute to his predecessor
The former PSG boss was very respectful of Frank Lampard’s history and what the Englishman meant to Chelsea supporters in his statement on the official site:
“I would like to thank Chelsea FC for their confidence in me and my staff.”
“We all have the greatest respect for Frank Lampard’s work and the legacy he created at Chelsea. At the same time, I cannot wait to meet my new team and compete in the most exciting league in football. I am grateful to now be part of the Chelsea family – it feels amazing!”
New Era. New Football. New Hope.
The Blues fans should be excited to see the prospect of attacking football and progressive tactics under Tuchel.
The possible resurgence of German duo of Kai Havertz and Timo Werner, along with development of the likes of Christian Pulisic and Callum Hudson-Odoi could be real boost for the Chelsea side who are currently lying in the 9th spot in the Premier League table.
It could very well be a progression of the project Frank Lampard started, not an attempt to rip it up and start again.
