Robert Lewandowski not being able to take home his fully-deserved Ballon d’Or last year due to France Football cancelling the award because of the ongoing coronavirus pandemic might have been one of the biggest injustices in football, ever.
It hurt him and it hurt football fans but the Polish hitman is gunning back for the most prestigious award in football with all the vengeance for the second season running and it showed in his lethal 22-minute first-half hat-trick during the 4-0 win against Vfb Stuttgart.
Bayern Munich were pegged back very early in the game at Allianz Arena when left-back Alphonso Davies was shown a straight red card for a diabolical studs-up challenge on Endo.
The Bundesliga table-toppers had struggled with a man down in the past this season and the same thought lurked in the mind when the Canadian was shown the door in the 12th minute.
But all of the doubts were soon put to bed as Robert Lewandowski went to work and ended up scoring a perfect hat-trick as he found the back of the Stuttgart net with the help of his left foot, head and right foot respectively.
With 40+ goals in all competitions for the sixth season in a row, the 32-year-old continues to strengthen his claim of being one of the all-time greats in football.

He's done it in the space of 21 first-half minutes this time….with Bayern playing down to 10 men.
