Leeds versus Milwall was dubbed as one of those intense encounters of the Championship however certain sections of the travelling support made sure of it to be remembered for all the wrong reasons.
While on pitch affairs didn’t disappoint, providing a nail-biting finish, Millwall fans certainly did.
The Lions didn’t hesitate to remind Leeds of the sad episode in Turkey which saw two of their fans stabbed before their UEFA Cup semifinal against Galatasaray in 2000.
A similar incident had taken place in 2013 when the Leeds Supporters’ Trust registered a complaint against Millwall fans for indecorous chants aimed at the victims of the tragedy in Istanbul yet once again mutual respect was disbanded when it came to claiming bragging rights.
Milwall came away with a 4-3 victory from Elland Road but not before immersing themselves with such a disgraceful attempt at downplaying their opponents.

Effortless from Brendan Rodgers’ side
Celtic smashed 5 past lowly Brechin City in their Scottish Cup encounter at Celtic Park. By far the best side in Scotland, the defending champions were ruthless from start to finish to ensure their passage into the 5th round tie.
The difference in quality was evident on the pitch as the Hoops dominated possession early on, picking and prodding at the visitors’ backline straight from kick-off.
Their patience eventually paid off after knitting a fine 49-pass move which was eventually finished off by James Forrest with any Brechin player yet to register a touch on the ball.
Scott Sinclair, who has so often been the spark for the hosts, once again turned provider as he jinked his way past challenges in the opposition penalty area before laying the assist for his teammate.

New partnership brewing at Arsenal?
Alexandre Lacazette ended his goal drought, finishing a flowing move as Arsenal struck their fourth goal in 22 minutes against a hapless Crystal Palace side. The Frenchman curled home after a delicious flick from Mesut Ozil, who was untouchable on the day for the Gunners.
The number 9 who had been under increasing pressure after a barren spell, straightaway embraced his assist provider during celebrations, forming a view that would put actual lovers to shame.
Ozil has been linked with a move away when his contract expires this summer and the moment fully epitomized the collective feeling around the Emirates of keeping their talisman at all cost.
His performance against the Eagles certainly merited his status at Arsenal with fellow mates thriving on his vision and creativity to dispatch strugglers Palace 4-1. Perhaps a new partnership is in place between the number 9 and number 11.

Klopp’s shrewd tactic pays dividends
Liverpool halted Manchester City’s invincible train as once again Anfield proved to be the undoing of the Citizens. Post match reviews were filled with statistics relaying the Reds’ dominance over Pep Guardiola’s men on the night and many were left evaluating the strategy deployed by the German to dismantle the seemingly unbeatable league leaders.
In another one of those classic Klopp moves, it has come to light that Liverpool underwent a subtle shift in their starting positions during opposition goal-kicks to cut the supply lines to Manchester City forwards.
The graphic shows a miserly forward line spread around City’s creative duo of Ilkay Gundogan and Kevin De Bruyne which denied them any space to operate in midfield. De Bruyne in particular, struggled against the suffocating Liverpool press as Guardiola’s possession play was put to sword by the irresistible Reds.
The victory goes some way in avenging the humiliating 5-0 loss at the Etihad and Liverpudlian supporters will be overjoyed to see their manager performing miracles on the pitch as the Merseysiders became the first team in Barclays Premier League this season to come away with all 3 points against the blue side of Manchester.

The Hammers’ flirtations with the relegation zone led to the eventual dismissal of Slaven Bilic and although the London club have consolidated their league position ever since, West Ham fans are livid to see no transfer incomings this January.
One such fan seemed to let loose his rather morose views on club chairman David Gold’s competence, going on to label him with some x-rated words.
However apparently nobody was ready for the wicked reply Gold had in store for his critic as he navigated away from any sort of illicit references, displaying a clever presence of mind as Twitter applauded his acumen in coming up with such a cheeky response.
The joint chairman of West Ham finds himself facing criticism from a few sections of the Claret and Blue support, who see him as a hurdle in their club’s progress and want him gone. Yet it would seem he certainly won a few over with his latest social media activity.

Screaming with the top down
Two Celtic fans managed to sneak their way into an empty Celtic Park Stadium and pull of one most ridiculous episodes of fan activity inside the walls of the hallowed turf.
The duo who seemed to exhibit every bit of passion ingrained in the famous Green Brigade, made the most of their opportunity to blast out ‘Come on you Bhoys in green’ rendition as the stunning echoes joined in their chants.
Every Celtic’s supporter dream is to witness the COYBIG on the shaking gantry of their home stadium and these two certainly got the chance of their lifetime.
Perhaps a reminder of the renowned and intimidating atmosphere, the Hoops fans can create making Celtic Park one of the toughest place to win a football match.

South Korean is on fire right now
It seems that Heung-Min Son has got the midas touch on him as he finds himself in the form of his life at Tottenham. Against Everton he was at it again, tormenting the Toffees backline and came away with a goal and an assist as Spurs ran out comfortable 4-0 victors.
His dominance on right hand side was summed up when the Korean produced a sublime turn without breaking stride to leave the on-rushing Jonjoe Kenny in limbo.
The number 7 bore down on the goal with intent and laid the ball on a plate for Harry Kane to stab home Spurs’ second goal of the night. While much has been said about his susceptibility against physical opponents, Son has slowly matured into an incredibly clever attacker for Mauricio Pochettino as he extended his goalscoring streak to 5 games.
Although the English duo Kane and Alli have been hogging all the headlines for the Lilywhites, Son has been quietly consistent and is growing into a reliable source of goals for them.

It’s that time of the year again when transfer speculation and kit concepts dominate social media postings and Manchester United are the latest club linked with a possible home strip design for the 2018/19 season.
Argentine designer Franco Carabajal posted a sneak peek into what the Red Devils’ fans could expect from their club jersey next summer, generating a mixed response in the process from the ardent patrons.
The fading Red-Black design has not been well received by supporters with many demanding a subtle improvisation of the Red-White combination so successfully implemented by Nike in the past.
While any official confirmation is yet to be released by the club, initial development stages are certainly leaving a lot be desired when it comes to the iconic Manchester United shirt.

Intentional or just plain ignorance?
Tottenham Hotspur have transcended their mid-table status under Mauricio Pochettino as the North London outfit have now progressed into genuine challengers for Champions League spots.
However Sky Sports seem to be on a different plane when it comes recognising their presence amongst the Premier League elite, somehow managing to neglect them once again.
In their preview for a mega Premier League weekend featuring top of the table clashes, Sky didn’t feel the need to include Spurs boss Mauricio Pochettino’s photograph among the rest of the top brass in English top flight.
Surprisingly enough, the sports network has been guilty of disregarding Tottenham in the past too.
The reason behind such negligence by a trusted source remains a mystery, yet periodic repetitions seem to point towards a bias.

A recent reveal by Argentine designer Marcos Prez has got Rangers fans excited with a simply stunning concept art of their home jersey.
The Scottish club’s iconic all blue home strip has been reworked to give a more retro feel to it, leading many supporters to clamor for an official release by the club.
While social media has been ripe with concepts wowing fans all over the world, this attempt has certainly caught their attention with it’s out of the box improvisation.
The creative yet simple layout represents an extremely well thought idea behind developing a quality merchandise for the fanbase who would be praying to see similar ideas in application when their team emerges from the tunnel next season.
