Leeds United showed no signs of slowing down under Marcelo Bielsa and made it three wins in a row with a comfortable 2-0 victory over Rotherham on Saturday.
The home supporters were heard singing their hearts out at Elland Road throughout the 90 minutes and looked pretty impressed with the attacking flair brought to the club by their new coach.
Not to be upstaged by their Yorkshire rivals, the travelling fans were also chirping away, well at least until Luke Ayling headed Leeds into the lead in the 49th minute at which an eerie silence took over the away stand.
One supporter was present on point to capture the extreme transition of emotions as fans, who initially thought the header didn’t count, were faced with bitter reality as referee Robert Jones blew the whistle signalling the goal.
Well the mood amongst these Rotherham fans changed pretty fast! Check out a clip showing the hilarious incident below:
Jordan Pickford lived his dreams in Russia as the 24-year-old was picked as England’s first-choice keeper despite having only 3 international caps prior to the tournament.
The diminutive star finally lived up to his billing last year after being recognised as a hot prospect from a very young age and further cemented his reputation as one of the finest keepers England has to offer.
After pulling off a host of jaw-dropping saves for the Three Lions, the youngster was at it again against the Saints on Saturday showcasing his razor sharp reflexes for all to see at Goodison Park.
Although the Everton goalkeeper struggled to hold onto the initial shot from Cedric Soares, Pickford adjusted brilliantly and had absolutely no right to save a Danny Ings shot from such a close range.
The commentator first thought Ings had shanked it! Check out a clip of Pickford’s save of the season contender below:
Chelsea fans quickly warmed up to Maurizio Sarri, even coming up with the term “Sarri-Ball” to affectionately refer to his intense style of football.
The home fans were treated to another display of highly intense attacking football by Sarri’s men on Saturday as Chelsea bagged all 3 points courtesy of a late Alonso goal.
While Arsenal weren’t exactly pushovers and went agonisingly close to take the lead on many occasions, the gulf in class was sometimes too evident between Unai Emery’s men and the hosts.
Alex Iwobi’s reaction during one such play summed up the Gooners frustrations during the match as cameras managed to capture the Nigerian literally throwing up his arms in helplessness as the Blues managed to calmly outsmart Arsenal near their own box before breaking out in typical swift fashion.

Rangers fans haven’t been shy to express their discontent at the poor facilities at Ibrox with even chairman Dave King going on record to admit how years of neglect has severely damaged the prestigious ground.
The South-Africa based businessman told reporters in 2016 that the club had to keep stadium upkeep on “essentials only” when they struggled with their liquidation troubles.
But the Ibrox club look to be on the path to recovery now with last season’s appreciable third placed finish and with the recent appointment of Liverpool Legend Steven Gerrard at the helm, supporters have been given renewed optimism ahead of the new season.
And this fan’s photo should certainly add to the growing positivity around Ibrox as it brilliantly manages to capture the famous old stadium in all it’s glory after nightfall and has left fans in awe of it’s beauty on Twitter.

Nikola Katić gave supporters another glimpse of his immense potential with a solid display against Maribor last night.
Absolutely adored by manager Steven Gerrard, the Croatian defender has already shown a level of poise and maturity far beyond his age since arriving in the summer.
While he was always viewed as a sturdy defender in his homeland, the Croatian also showed off his skillful side in the 0-0 draw yesterday with a sublime chip over a Maribor attacker to leave the opposing Slovaks dumbfounded.
The 21-year-old already looks like an inspired bit of business by the Gers and is set to be a fan-favorite if he comes up with more moments like these in the future.
Looks like Katic has more than one trick up his sleeves – check out a clip of the Croatian’s savage chip below:
Everton did not quite get the blockbuster start they were hoping for on opening day with the Toffees being held to a 2-2 draw by Wolves at Molineux.
Marco Silva’s men looked to have all three points in the bag after Richarlison’s brace but Raul Jimenez rescued a point for Wolves late in the game.
But while the result wasn’t exactly what the fans were hoping for after a terrific transfer window, they would have been definitely impressed by some of the brilliant performances put in by the players during the game.
The kind of grit shown by the Toffees players during a Wolves corner is exactly what the fans were missing, with many players showing brilliant determination to chase down their opposition back to their own box from a threatening position.
Holgate, Tosun, Walcott and Coleman all getting in on the act – check out a clip of the gritty bit of play here:
Let’s admit it, we have all done some pretty stupid things while drunk and while most of the time people end up regretting their booze inspired antics, this Celtic fan hit certainly the jackpot during one such hazy night.
After drunk messaging Hoops star Kieran Tierney for permission to use his face on his bank card, the fan was in for a shock when the young left-back actually gave his consent for the insane request .
And now the fan is set to be a mini-celebrity among Celtic fans after pulling off the stunt and even posted a photo of his conversation with Kieran on social media after he got the card.
With many football stars around the world often being reluctant to pass over their image rights, the young Scot will surely be adored even more at Celtic Park now after being such a sport to the weird request.
Definitely a brag-worthy stunt this! Check out a photo of the fan’s conversation with KT below:
My Celtic claim to fame – I once drunk messaged KT asking for permission to put him on my bank card. Had to show the written permission 3 separate times while switching bank… HH from r/CelticFC
New Boss Marco Silva once again showed his resourcefulness in the transfer window with the astute £18 million signing of Lucas Digne from Barcelona.
The 25-year-old will definitely strengthen a position in desperate need of additional depth and quality with veteran Leighton Baines often overworked in previous seasons.
While the Frenchman will be hoping to forge a close relationship with the Blues support in the months to come, it looks like his better half is already one step ahead of him on that matter and could already become a fan-favorite after her latest Instagram post.
Tiziri Digne took to Instagram to share the news of her hubby’s transfer to the Toffees and with the stunning model’s post featuring lots of blue, she could be a big hit with supporters with more posts like these.

Italian businessman Andrea Radrizzani’s popularity amongst fans took a bit of a hit after Leeds failed to capitalize on a strong start last year with many feeling the club’s poor transfer strategy played a major part in their shambolic finish to the campaign.
But all that distrust seems to have toned down now after a pretty decent summer for the Whites as they managed to recruit veteran coach Marcelo Bielsa and a some decent reinforcements.
And after Sunday’s thrashing of the Potters, the Italian managed to make another strong impression on the fans as he was spotted embracing literally every member of the squad following the full-time whistle, impressing fans with his dedication towards the club.
Now that’s how to treat your players after a good showing! Check out a clip of Radrizzani’s show of love below:
It was Toffees CEO Professor Denise Barrett-Baxendale who cut the ribbon to mark the official inauguration into their new headquarters in the seventh floor of the Royal Liver Building at the end of July.
After the ceremony she told reporters that the club hoped to retain the ‘Everton essence’ in the office and recent pictures seen online indicate that she wasn’t lying.
Photos seen on Twitter showcase a terrifically designed open office with some world class decor prominently featuring club colors and even subtly pays tribute to some of Goodison Park’s famous architecture.
Overlooking their new stadium at Bramley-Moore Dock and placed in the heart of Liverpool’s commercial district, the world class office should definitely help the club to realize their commercial ambitions.
Now who wouldn’t want to work here! Via @John_B58, check out photos of the stunning new headquarter below:
