Arsenal fans sang their hearts out for the club as the final whistle went off against City

Interim manager Freddie Ljungberg urged the Arsenal board to make a decision regarding the club’s permanent manager without further delay after watching his side slump to a 3-0 defeat to Manchester City.

While the Gunners went into the game without much expectations, fans as well as the interim boss still seemed to be shocked by the poor performances put in by some of the senior players at the club.

The uncertainty surrounding the top position at the club isn’t surely helping the team on the field but nevertheless the attitude shown by some of their stars especially the likes of Mesut Ozil was surely difficult to watch for Arsenal fans.

After making a significant outlay in the summer transfer window, Gooners were surely expecting bigger things from their team this season but has instead witnessed their team slump into their worst start in recent memory.

Following such a poor performance at the Emirates no one could have blamed the home fans for jeering their own team but the Arsenal faithful in attendance yesterday instead displayed their exemplary faith in the club by rendering a powerful rendition of “we love you Arsenal, we do” towards the end of the game.

Fans will be hoping that the show of faith from their part will somehow help their team to put in better performances from now on as they look to overturn their dismal start to the season.

Photo – Roberto Firmino at his outrageous best before Liverpool’s first goal against Watford

While he hasn’t gotten off to the greatest of starts this season by his own lofty standards, Roberto Firmino reminded everyone of his outrageous talents with an absolutely crazy bit of skill during the 2-0 win over Watford on Saturday.

Firmino put in another resolute display for the club and played a crucial part in securing the 3 points which extended Liverpool’s lead at the top of the Premier League to 10 points.

While his workrate and dedication remains world class, the robust Brazilian hasn’t quite hit the heights of previous campaigns as far as numbers are concerned and has just 4 goals and 4 assists to his name so far.

Regardless of whether he finds the net or not, the 28-year-old is still considered an instrumental part of Jurgen Klopp’s plans for the club and was one of the few players who dazzled the home fans in an otherwise quiet first-half against the Hornets.

The Brazilian played a huge role in the build-up to Mo Salah’s opener by producing an absolutely jaw dropping no-look acrobatic pass to find Mane which left the Anfield crowd roaring for more.

Pure Brazilian flair!

(Video) Man Utd YouTuber trolls City fans by asking if ‘Pep Guardiola is a fraud’

Sitting in third position in the points table barely halfway through the campaign and securing progression into the knockout stages of the Champions League usually ensures a comfortable situation for any manager but not if you are at Manchester City and especially not if your name is Pep Guardiola.

The Spaniard is considered to be one of the biggest names in football management and his constant successes in Spain, Germany and most recently in England means that even the slightest slip-ups riles up a media storm.

Manchester United coming across town to the Etihad has been reduced to a one sided affair at times since Pep took over but Ole Gunnar Solskjaer’s young side absolutely dominated the champions last week and deserved to go home with all 3 points.

The 2-1 derby defeat to their local rivals has widened the gap with Liverpool to 14 points and many opposition fans are making most of the opportunity to troll the tactician for his recent shortcomings.

Manchester United fans have been especially vocal after their derby win and popular YouTube channel ‘ The United Stand ‘ took the trolling up a notch by asking fans if they felt ‘Guardiola was a fraud‘ while roaming the streets of Manchester.

While United fans enjoyed the question and came up with witty answers, City fans looked quite taken aback by the notion and some fans even moved away from the camera when presented with the question.

Manchester United star Max Taylor won the hearts of everyone around him barely two weeks ago when he earned himself a spot on United’s Europa League squad after a year long battle with cancer.

While the young Englishman was unable to make his debut appearance against Astana, the defender is set to make his way into the senior side sooner rather than later with coaches at the club impressed with his attitude in training.

The 19-year-old was tipped for big things before he was diagnosed with testicular cancer but didn’t let the illness affect his career and was back at Carrington barely 5 weeks after his chemotherapy.

The defender was viewed as an inspiration for young players around the world but has irked the wrath of a certain fan section by openly expressing his political views on Twitter.

His Tweet featured a demographic showing BBC’s exit poll forecast before the results were declared today and the young defender seemed pretty happy with the prediction based on the nature of his caption on the tweet.

While the prediction came to fruition and the Conservative Party led by Boris Johnson came out victorious in the UK general elections, Taylor’s Twitter account was deactivated shortly after the tweet presumably due to fan backlash.

Christian Pulisic gets standing ovation from Chelsea fans after a delightful 62-minute performance against Lille

Chelsea booked their place in the knockout stages of the Champions League in dramatic fashion with a narrow 2-1 victory over Lille at the Stamford Bridge while last year’s semi-finalists Ajax crashed out of the competition.

Frank Lampard’s side went into the game knowing fully well that anything besides a win would see them knocked out of Europe’s elite competition and ultimately made the cut courtesy of goals from Tammy Abraham and Cesar Azpilicueta.

While he did not get himself on the scoresheet, Christian Pulisic continued on his good form for the Blues with another strong performance during a crunch game.

The American endured a difficult start to life in London but has turned things around recently and is now considered be one of the first names on Lampard’s teamsheet.

The youngster was a constant thorn in Lille’s side throughout the game and the home fans acknowledged his role in the win by giving the winger a standing ovation when he was substituted in the 62nd minute.

Tottenham bench reaction – Mourinho and Son were left devastated after Sissoko missed a golden chance against Bayern Munich

Tottenham Hotspur’s trip to the Allianz Arena would have been earmarked by many fans as the match to judge Jose Mourinho’s progress so far with Spurs being absolutely demolished 7-2 by the Germans during their previous meeting in the UCL.

While the Special One couldn’t prevent another defeat at the hands of Bayern Munich , his team did put in a visibly improved performance during the 3-1 loss yesterday.

After choosing to rest several starters, Mourinho would have been impressed by the performance put in by several fringe players with youngster Ryan Sessengon especially impressing on his first start for the club.

While the young England international would have perhaps forced himself into the Portuguese’s plans for the rest of the season, Moussa Sissoko definitely did himself no favor with a horrendous miss during their last UCL group stage fixture.

After finding himself clean through on Bayern’s goal, the Frenchman somehow made a mess of a clear opportunity to beat Manuel Neuer to leave the entire Tottenham bench shocked.

Mourinho and Son seemed the most devastated on the touchlines with pretty much everyone on the Tottenham bench giving an exasperated reaction to the horror miss.

(Video) Mesut Ozil spotted ‘skipping’ in joy after Arsenal’s 3rd goal against West Ham

After failing to register a win in his first two games in charge, Freddie Ljungberg seems to have finally got Arsenal clicking during the 3-1 win over West Ham yesterday.

While the Gunners were up to their old shenanigans during the build-up to West Ham’s opener, the team showed great resilience to come back and see the win through courtesy of 9 minute goal glut following the restart.

One of the greatest criticisms faced by the club during Unai Emery’s reign was a perceived unhappiness within the squad but such fears seem to be partially quelled during the win with many of their big stars playing with a big smile for large parts of the game.

Mesut Ozil’s enthusiasm especially caught the eye with the German often cutting a disgruntled figure during Emery’s reign and looked in jubilant mood against the Hammers.

The 31-year-old seemed to to be in an absolutely whimsical mood after Aubameyang’s goal and a clip showing his hilarious moves in the background has been well received by fans on Twitter.

Sheer passion on display from David de Gea as the final whistle went off at Etihad

After stumbling to yet another disappointing draw against Aston Villa last week, even the most loyal United fans wouldn’t have had high hopes ahead of Tottenham’s visit and the trip to the Etihad.

But fast forward one week and Ole Gunnar Solskjaer is beign heralded by all as a master tactician after getting the better of two of the biggest names in the game in Jose Mourinho and Pep Guardiola.

After the 2-1 victory over their former boss at Old Trafford, the Red Devils put in an absolutely dominant performance that hasn’t been seen from a United team at the Etihad since the glory days with their devastating front four running rings around the champions for large parts of the game.

But it wasn’t all smooth sailing for Ole’s young guns however with David de Gea having to make a couple of super saves to deny City from snatching a point towards the end.

Hence it was no surprise to see Solskjaer rushing to embrace the Spaniard stopper after the full time whistle, who looked absolutely ecstatic after putting in another hard nights shift.

The usually calm De Gea was uncharacteristically animated during the celebrations and United fans especially seemed to love the sheer passion on display when he kept shouting ” Vamos” towards the away section.

Someone voiced over what Marcelo Bielsa told Danny Cowley at full time and it’s side-splitting hilarious

Marcelo Biesla’s men are absolutely flying in the Championship and registered their 6th consecutive win with a solid 2-0 victory in the Yorkshire derby against a struggling Huddersfield side.

The veteran boss has been cited as the reason for their meteoric rise with the players and fans alike coming out to praise the work he has been doing since taking over at Elland Road.

The Argentine has been praised by numerous opposition managers along the way as well with Terriers’ coach Danny Cowley the lastest boss to acknowledge the 64-year-old for the kind words he offered after the full time whistle.

While 41-year-old coach already told reporters during the post-match presser that his counterpart was offering him and his brother some words of motivation, his clarification didn’t stop a Leeds fan from coming up with his own twisted version of the conversation between the coaches.

Using Biesla’s hand gestures to devastating effect, the fan has made an absolutely hilarious voice over of the meeting between the coaches which should be absolute gold for Leeds fans.

Even while Brendan Rodgers is hundreds of miles away making the foxes fly at the King Power, his former club Celtic is showing no signs of slowing down and created history with an iconic 10th consecutive domestic trophy on Sunday.

Former player and current manager Neil Lennon oversaw his club’s 4th straight League Cup triumph during the weekend after Celtic pulled off a hard-fought 1-0 victory over Steven Gerrard’s Rangers side.

It wasn’t all smooth sailing for the Hoops though with the Gers missing a number of chances including a penalty and ultimately failed to utilise their numerical advantage after Jeremie Frimpong was sent off just after the hour mark.

The former Manchester City man has been turning some heads with his performances for the club and put in another solid display against their fierce rivals, although the 18-year-old showed his inexperience with a lunging tackle on Alfredo Morelos inside the box.

But with the Colombian missing from the spot and his side going on to win the cup, the Dutchman would have surely been relived and seemed to be absolutely buzzing after the full time whistle.

Cameras caught the youngster absolutely enjoying the moment and his reaction has been well received by Hoops fans after a clip of his wild celebrations on the pitch made it to Twitter.

UK Marketing agency posts photo of Arsenal interim boss Freddie Ljungberg trying out a new suit on Twitter

Even before a ball is kicked, top flight football managers sure have a lot on their plate.

From carrying out highly tactical drills before each match to keeping a calm face for the cameras while being under immense pressure, it’s safe to say that professional management is not everyone’s cup of tea.

While most managers are subject to scrutiny when results continue to go the other way, Arsenal’s interim manager Freddie Ljungberg was subject to a rather odd piece of criticism from a former rival even before a ball was kicked under his watch.

Former Manchester United star Paul Scholes has been highly critical of the Red Devils as a pundit in the past but many Gooners were left amused when he decided to take a pop (source) at Ljungberg not for his side’s performance at Carrow Road, but for failing to wear a suit for his first game in charge.

While the former ‘Invincible’ laughed off the criticism after the match, it seems that the Swede is making sure that his former rival will not have another opportunity to have a pop at him for his clothes.

Gooners are now having a laugh at Scholes’ expense with many coming up with delightful responses to his comments after marketing agency B-Engaged posted a photo of Ljungberg trying out a new suit on Twitter.
