Photo – Should Tottenham fans be worried about Dele Alli hanging out with a notorious ‘celebrity fixer’ during holidays

Dele Alli seems to be enjoying his vacation after an injury-stricken season with Spurs.

Already counted amongst the most promising youngsters in the Premier League, Alli has added his name to a list enumerated with some of the biggest names in the celebrity world.

The Kardashians, Conor McGregor, Rihanna, racer Lewis Hamilton, Nicole Scherzinger, Olympian Louis Smith, One Direction star Liam Payne, Zayn Malik and pop idol Justin Bieber are indeed a great company to be counted in for the Spurs man but he won’t like the reason.

Besides being absolute bigwigs in their respective industries, the aforementioned set of celebrities are notorious for hanging out with famous ‘celebrity fixer’ Leon Starino, and he is a man whose association breeds controversy (source).

Recently Alli posted a picture with Starino and Dortmund star Jadon Sancho in the background that has got a few fans worried.

Who is ‘Starino’?

Leon Starino Anderson (on the left) is the brother of the Victoria Secret star, Leomie Anderson. Anderson claims to be a celebrity PR man who happened to have arranged endorsement deals with major brand names for several stars.

Suspected as a drug dealer and a pimp, he is a ‘good friend’ to some of the biggest celebrities. Anderson was constantly at Bieber’s side during his 2013 controversial Believe tour in the UK, which was filled with scandals, where he arranged ‘everything’ for the star (source).

Dele’s role for next season

Although they don’t have any silverware to show for it, Spurs enjoyed a brilliant season which saw them reach the final of the Champions League.

The fans would want more of the same and maybe even better as it seems manager Mauricio Pochettino has been promised funds as he looks to invigorate the Lilywhites with new transfers.

Pochettino has previously trusted Alli with important roles for Spurs and with Christian Eriksen linked away from North London, the Argentine tactician would expect Dele to raise to the occasion, especially when it comes to replace the Dane’s creativity.

Next season will be vital for the English playmaker and the last thing he would need now is a controversy.

Kyle Walker caught on cam gesticulating to Laporte that Dele Alli “dives all the time”

The year is 2019, and “diving” is well and truly a part of the game. The act of manipulating your movements during tight situations to convince the referee and make it seem as though one has been fouled, is what diving is all about. Most commonly occurring inside the box to obtain a penalty, officials and governing bodies are doing everything they can to curb the “dive” menace.

With all the things going on in the world of football, Dele Alli’s name seems to pop up often when talking about dives, having earned the notorious reputation of feigning fouls at Tottenham.

The latest occurrence in relation to Alli diving came in the first half of the Champions League quarter-final between Tottenham and Manchester City. Dele Alli appeared to go down easily, and this did not set well with Man City right-back, Kyle Walker.

Kyle Walker and Dele Alli in happier times

The former Tottenham player can be seen talking to fellow City defender Aymeric Laporte on the TV broadcast. It appears as though Walker is warning Laporte about Alli’s tendency to dive. He makes a gesture with his hands that resembles a dive, and fans believe that he is mouthing the words, “He’ll dive every time”.

Walker would know a lot about Alli’s tendencies, given that they were teammates at Tottenham before Walker’s departure to City.

Add to this, the dynamic that they are regular starters for England, it’s safe to assume that the next training session for the both of them will be interesting, if not, awkward.

Whether those were his actual words to Laporte, we may never know. But in the whole context of the situation, it seemed to fit the bill that Walker would give his teammate the heads-up.
