Liverpool and Brazil shot-stopper Alisson is currently in his home nation fighting for the Copa America.

After an amazing club season that saw Liverpool conquer Europe and finish 2nd to a spectacular Manchester City side in the Premier League, Alisson now has the chance to complete the season with another trophy to his name.

Individually, Alisson had a brilliant season keeping 21 clean sheets in the Premier League which won him the Golden Glove. Fellow Brazilian and Manchester City no. 1 Ederson lost out on the award by 1 clean sheet.

The Copa America is currently going on in Brazil. The hosts have reached the quarter-final stage and will face Paraguay.

Tite’s side are hard in training ahead of the match and an incident during their training session has especially gone viral amongst Liverpool fans after Reds stopper Alisson produced an incredible one handed save parrying the ball above the crossbar.

Alisson has started the 3 group games that Brazil have played keeping a clean sheet in each of the games. Brazil are favourites to win the Copa America and Alisson will surely look to keep his clean-sheet count rising through the tournament.

It is understandable to see why Alisson was once the most expensive keeper to be purchased. A truly sensational shot-stopper, Alisson’s quick rise of success and fame is only going to get bigger and better.
