It is normal for big pages on social media to post pictures and videos of people in need before the winter season.
They help boost empathy amongst the passersby in pursuit of hope that person might be helping someone on the street on their way to work.
In return such posts bolster the page’s engagement as well in what is a case of doing good work while stabilizing oneself in the process.
The best kind of help.
Going by that trend, recently a page on X (formerly Twitter) posted about a group of homeless people by the streets of Philadelphia with the caption about the coming winter season and the hardships this person will be further encountering in no due time.
While the post was intended to highlight a growing youth problem in Philadelphia and America, football fans noticed among all the homeless addicts in the video, that there was someone heavily intoxicated and wearing a Wolverhampton Wanderers jersey.
It is common for people overseas to wear jerseys of the bigger clubs we call the traditional top six.
Case in point most of Africa and Asia are overblown by the replica shirts brought in cheap by some of the biggest clubs in the world.
But to wear a Wolves jersey that too worn by a homeless person is extremely odd, to put it mildly.
Fans wondered where the person in question brought the jersey from or the very fact as to why he is wearing a Wolves jersey.
The person in question was wearing a Wolves jersey from the 2018/19 campaign.
Social media investigations can often bring out the ugly sides of the screen but the reaction to this was thankfully only extremely hilarious.
Maybe he is from Wolves and wanted to have a taste of home, a person wrote, while another person commented this is what signing Fabio Silva does to a person.
Fabio Silva is the record signing for the Midlands club but it is safe to say it would take a huge lot from here on out to justify that price tag.
Whatever Silva might be feeling about the situation, inquiries about the origins of the jersey did not stop there, speculations arose, that the video might be from Wolves itself and not from Philadelphia as it rather looks like a regular day at Wolves.
Nostalgia was abundant in the comments, with reminders of how close Wolves fans were to being homeless addicts before they started signing Portuguese players.
New head coach Gary O’Neil is arguably doing a good job at the club given the manner of his arrival and Wolves finances are at the moment.
One would have thought he would be spared from the wrath but of course not, comments were pointing to the homeless person in the video about him maybe simply being affected by the Gary O’Neil ball.
All in all these inquiries would probably only rile up further the Wolves who are already finding the club in much disarray.
The creators of the post will feel good as well seeing their video garnering engagement the way it did.
