Amidst the Lukaku saga and the recent lacklustre run of form, Chelsea fans were finally greeted with a bit of good news.
This came in the form of a contract extension for the Brazilian centre back Thiago Silva.
Despite his short tenure at Stamford Bridge so far, ‘O Monstro’s impact has been stellar, due to which he has gained quite a bit of fanfare.
The veteran looks far from his age, putting in consistently solid performances for the Blues, and possessing an evident mastery in reading situations.
On the back of his excellent stint so far, the club rewarded him with a contract extension, giving the Brazilian a chance to earn even more adoration amongst fans.
He did so with a simple touch of class.
In footage released by the club, after the press segment of his contract extension, the Brazilian made sure to grab the pen he used to sign the contract, perhaps as a souvenir.
Sporting a cheeky smile on his face, Silva quickly picks up the pen and places it in a blue case, saying “it’s for me, no?”
